How to Use Isle-VOIP on Your The Isle Server

Isle-VOIP links your in-game character to Mumble voice channels so communication behaves like true proximity chat. You link your account once and can then talk directly on the matching server.

1

Install Mumble

Install the Mumble client on your computer first. Without Mumble, Isle-VOIP cannot create proximity voice channels.

2

Install the Isle-VOIP Plugin

Download the Isle-VOIP Mumble plugin, install it, and enable it in Mumble settings. If the Boschs-Island plugin is enabled, disable it because it can mute other players.

3

Connect to the Correct Mumble Server

Join the Mumble server that belongs to your The Isle server. Your UserHash or link code will appear in the Mumble log afterward.

4

Link Your Account In Game

Use the command /link-account YOURCODE on the The Isle server. This links your game account to your Mumble identity.

5

Talk Normally After That

Once the connection is active, the plugin adjusts volume automatically by distance. Nearby players sound louder, distant players sound quieter.

Important

  • Always use the Mumble server that exactly matches your game server.
  • You normally do not need to link again every time you join.
  • If you cannot hear anyone, first check plugin activation and whether another Mumble plugin is muting people.
